Vista is out but whose buyin it :
February 14, 2007 at 6:01 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentWhen the successor to the Windows XP throne was being touted, it promised heaven on earth–a pass to the Utopian kingdom of computing.
As i write this, obsessing over Windows Vista is the order of the day. Will it kill your PC ? How much better than XP is it, anyway? Will the Aero interface ever stop looking pretty? When it was launched , nobody expected its sales to turn out the way they did — Vista surpassed Windows 2000’s first-month sales, and came quite close to XP’s.
Five years after Windows XP, the latest desktop OS from Microsoft promises better hardware support, security and a spruced up user interface. It also has steeper hardware requirements.
If you’ve been reading the news, you’ve no doubt read Microsoft’s proud “Vista is the most secure Windows yet”, and Symantec’s sceptical “Yeah, right”.Vista’s focus on security cant’s be argued, though– from soliciting the US National Security Agency(NSA) for help, to the ridiculous number of features to protect you from the Bad Guys.
Where Vista scores:
Windows Vista offers enhancements in end-user productivity including the Aero interface; Windows Flip and Flip 3D. It also improves on the XP search function.
For people with intention to upgrade to Vista here’s rundown of it’s significant features or improvements:

Apple Might Sue Me
February 12, 2007 at 6:13 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentNow after posting http://rahulsblogbeta.blogspot.com/2007/02/much-anticipated-apple-version-of.html Apple Inc might just sue me.
Ah, Apple. No company can ever compete with its brilliant product design, quality of service,or skills at harassing anyone with even a thought of crossing their path. The iphone was released at MacWorld 2007 and expectantly stunned the hoi polloi with its keypad-less design . Everyone wants one now,and while they wait for the sales of their iphone to sky rocket , Windows Mobile users could download a skin for their phones so they would look like iphones. No points for guessing that Apple threw a hissy-fit– these were copyrighted icons and designs that were used without permission, and hence an infringement on their rights.
But here’s the best part –not only did the Big Fruit run around demanding the skins be taken down , they even served legal notices to the bloggers who reported its existence!
The content of the message goes thus:
“It has come to our attention that u have posted a screenshot Apple’s iphone and links that facilitate the installation of that screenshot on a pocketPC device.
“While we appreciate your interest in the iphone, the icons and screen shots displayed on your website are copyrighted by Apple.
“Apple therefore demands that you remove this screenshot from your website and refrain from facilitating t5he further dissemination of Apple’s copyrighted material by removing the link to http://forum.xda-developers.com/, where said icons and screen shots are being distributed.”
It seems that new heights have been scaled in ridiculousness. Says Michael Arrington of popular blog TechCrunch.” I think this is all complete nonsense. If Apple wants to go after the guy that made the Windows Mobile skin that looks like the iphone, fine. But to bully bloggers who are simply reporting on this is another matter.”
And you thought you needed to buy an Apple product to experience their award-winning entertainment skills.
Finally, who knows — the Apple’s people might end at my blog and sue me for posting the screenshots of this copyrighted iphone.
